Outreach services
Young People’s Rochdale and Bury
Support for vulnerable young people aged 13 to 19 years old, or up to the age of 25 for special educational needs and disability (SEND) and cared for children.
Sexual health targeted education support: The service provides a bespoke programme of 1:1 sessions between a young person and one of our Education and Wellbeing Specialist Workers. This can be up to 6 sessions, each session lasting between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
Shorter programmes or interventions can be developed if necessary. Sessions can be arranged at several venues. They can be conducted in school, in one of the ORBISH Sexual Health Clinics, a drop-in centre or another mutually agreed venue.
Young People’s sexual health outreach: Our outreach nurses provide sexual healthcare from our hubs as well as community settings. These services are available to vulnerable young people residing in Rochdale and Bury requiring extra support in accessing sexual health services.

MYNO Oldham
Sexual Health Oldham has partnered with Early Break, a specialist organisation, to provide an integrated service for substance misuse and sexual health across Oldham. Known as MYNO (Meeting Your Needs Oldham), this combined service supports young people aged 13 to 19 years old, or those up to 25 years old if there's a special educational need or they are a cared for child.

Make a referral
If you have a young person within the service who would benefit from accessing our services, refer the young person by completing the referral form. Alternatively young people can self-refer by contacting us on 0300 303 8565 or attend one of our clinics:
Chambers Clinic, Early Break, Chapel Rd, Oldham OL8 4QQ. Walk-in clinic every Wednesday, 1pm to 5pm
Integrated Care Centre, New Radcliffe St, Oldham OL1 1NL. Walk-in clinic every Tuesday 3pm to 6pm
Mahdlo, Egerton St, Oldham OL1 3SE. Open Thursday for appointment only, contact the clinic on 0300 303 8565
Vulnerable Adults Outreach
Our outreach nurses provide sexual healthcare from our hubs as well as community settings. These services are available to anyone deemed a vulnerable adult aged 18+ residing in Oldham, Rochdale and Bury who needs extra support in accessing sexual health services.

Community pharmacy
If you have identified a sexual health need following an initial assessment with a patient, use our pathway to signpost effectively into our local sexual health service.

Psychosexual therapy - GP referral only
The Psychosexual Therapy Service offers brief psychological-based sex therapy interventions to help address sexual problems experienced by individuals over 16 years of age. The Psychosexual Therapy Service is accessible by GP referral only.

Primary and secondary care urgent - emergency IUD and positive STIs
Refer patients who have positive STI test results for gonorrhoea, syphilis or HIV, or who require an IUD (non-hormonal, copper coil) for emergency contraception into our sexual health services.
Please complete the appropriate urgent referral form.
Primary care - complex LARC
We accept referrals for assessment for complex LARC, including:
removal of deep sub-dermal contraceptive implants
difficult or previously failed IUC fitting
difficult IUD removal and lost threads. For all absent threads, you must include an ultrasound scan report from within the last 6 months with the referral, to confirm that IUD is still in situ
We are unable to accept referrals for IUS insertion for endometrial protection and heavy menstrual bleeding only unless contraception is required.

Training opportunities
LARC fitters forum
The forum is open to recently trained LARC fitters as well as those who are established and experienced within primary care. It provides an opportunity to network, receive updates on current guidance, discuss techniques, share best practice, discuss issues encountered in practice and management of complex cases.

Become a LARC fitter - coils and implants
HCRG has developed a training pathway to support healthcare professionals gain their FSRH Letter of Competency (LoC) in the contraceptive implant, intrauterine device (IUD) or both. We provide free clinical training with FSRH registered trainers who can support anyone wishing to achieve these LoCs.

Oldham Strategic Sexual Health Partnership Board
HCRG integrated sexual health in collaboration with Oldham Public Health lead Oldham’s Sexual Health partnership.
The partnership provides strong and ambitious strategic leadership and clear accountability for improving sexual health outcomes and leads the development of a multi-agency strategic and operational response to sexual and reproductive health challenges, driving innovation and sustainable improvement.
Rochdale Sexual Health Network
The sexual health network is hosted by HCRG integrated sexual health service and Rochdale Public Health. It offers the chance for professionals working with those affected by poorer sexual health outcomes to meet peers, collaborate, learn, and proactively share good practice, and evidence base.
The network meets biannually.
Bury Sexual Health Network
The sexual health network is hosted by HCRG integrated sexual health service and Bury Public Health. The network works collaboratively to improve sexual health outcomes and leads the development of a multi-agency strategic and operational response to sexual and reproductive health challenges, driving innovation and sustainable improvement.
